The position papers and Knesset committee debates addressed the following subjects: Why Israel needs a civil code and the basic features of such a Code; A critical appraisal of the fundamental principles of the Draft Civil Code; A critical appraisal of the chapter on juridical acts in the Draft Civil Code.
